while i am waiting for paint to dry…here are a few photos of one of the pieces that i am installing. i’m sanding the word “displace” into the wall by removing a layer of paint. the vinyl sticker is acting as a stencil.
the not ______ tshirt project has a name now, question number nine, after the ninth question on the 2010 census, which is “what is person 1’s race?” though i might change the name of this project again to some other race (still don’t know yet)

thank you to liz, andrew, chris, and tom for taking part in this photoshoot. thank you to tom and matt for helping with lighting else i’d be quite lost.
working on a new project relating to my over-arching concept for the year. here is the first in my “not ______” series of shirts. based on the idea of how language becomes a source of tension when we intentionally or unintentionally mislabel/stereotype people. also, speaks to what is going on now, regarding the classification of people through the census for 2010.
thanks chris for being an awesome tshirt model.

here are the installation photos.
